EVERYONE knows (unless you live under a rock...kidding!) the Grammy’s was this past Sunday. The performances were spectacular but everyone was definitely paying attention to the red carpet event!! Many artist walked the carpet in glamorous dresses and fabulous looks. The most popular trends where:
- Lose waves
- Top Bun
- Neutral eyes
- Smokey eyes
- Red lips
- Nude lips
These various trends were all over the red carpet, from Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Adele, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez. From these trends, we will create a look perfect for a date night look for Valentine’s Day!
Date night look
For a night out we are keeping things simple.
Being by creating loose waves similar to Rihanna’s look:
- A 1 or 1 1/2 inch curling iron
- A hair heat protectant
- and
- hair spray
Curl your hair and after it is all curled run your fingers through them to achieve the loose look. Spray a few light sprits to the end and your set to go.
MAKEUP:
For a date night a sultry look is a go-to. Carrie Underwood wore her smokey eye just right.
This look is perfect for a night out. To make this look more dramatic, add false lashes to make your eyes pop. The key to a smokey eye is blending. Carrie Underwood’s lashes is what makes this eye look pop out and unforgettable.
FACE:
For your face, light foundation is recommended. A little blush or none at all is preferable since the focus is on the eyes.
LIPS:
STAY AWAY FROM RED!!!!!!!! If this look is being used for a date, stay away from red lipstick!!!! Why? Well because if you’r on a date, chances are you will want to show love to your date. Red lip stick can ruin your look, your date’s look, or anything that gets kissed on. Sorry! A nude lip gloss or light pink lip gloss is your best bet.
The Grammy’s had multiple trends. Turning an award winning look into a date night look is the best! This look will allow you to look like a Grammy nominee at a date with that special someone.
